Slayer actually provided the heaviest moment in the season’s heaviest concert: when Slayer co-founder/guitarist Jeff Hanneman came out for the group’s last two songs, “South Of Heaven” and “Angel of Death.” Hanneman’s appearance was unexpected: He hasn’t performed with Slayer for most of 2011 due to suffering from necrotic fasciitis, a flesh-eating bacterial condition that withered his right arm so much it was unclear if he’d ever perform with the band again. Hanneman even cut the sleeve off his shirt to defiantly display his disfigurement as he played.

This is a guitar cover of a truly classic 80’s song: Kickstart My Heart by Mötley Crüe, from the “Dr. Feelgood” album (1989).
The original song is in “a whole step down” tuning (DGCFAD), but I prefered recording it on standard tuning (EADGBE). I dont like tuning down my guitars, its not good for the guitar’s neck, unless you decide leaving the guitar tuned like that.
I made the backing track that contains bass and drums. I used midi files as base, fixed some mistakes they had (as much as I could), and created the bass and drums tracks using plug-in’s (“Steinberg Virtual Bassist” and “EzDrummer: Drumkit From Hell”).
I couldnt record this song with any of my guitars, they just didnt sound right, besides I needed a guitar with floyd rose, so I got this 1986 Kramer Pacer Deluxe American guitar (thanks to my friend Rafael for lending it to me), This axe feels awesome, and sounds really nice to me.
Btw, in the original song, the lead guitar uses “Talk Box” effect (you use a mic, while this system filters your voice through your guitar playing, sounds like your guitar is saying what your singing on the mic).
Sadly, I dont have that effect, so I decided to use my Cry Baby to create a kinda cool effect. It doesnt compare to the original but I hope you like it.
As another parenthesis, this song has 2 rhythm guitars during the whole song (one on the left channel of the audio, and another one on the right channel), both of them play almost the same notes. I recorded both of them in my cover, but I only show the right channel one on most of my cover (except for the middle break and the outro, where you can see both of them).

Orgasmatron (orgasmatrón) es una canción del grupo de rock and roll y heavy metal, Motörhead, y versionada por el grupo Sepultura, en su álbum Arise (ascender), de 1991. La letra habla del caos, la destrucción, la política y la religión. Los autores de la canción son: Würzel, Phil Campbell, Pete Gill, Lemmy.
Sepultura es una banda brasileña de thrash metal. Fue formada en la ciudad de Belo Horizonte por dos hermanos, Max e Igor Cavalera, que aprendieron a dominar sus instrumentos autodidácticamente: Max la guitarra e Igor la batería. Sus influencias principales son: Motörhead, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, entre otros. Su estilo ha variado a lo largo de su discografía, incluyendo vertientes como el death metal, el thrash metal, la música industrial y elementos de la música étnica de Brasil, asi también, el grupo influyó en la creación de un thrash metal más duro.
El video corresponde al concierto realizado en Barcelona, España, en 1991, lanzado en VHS y DVD, bajo el nombre de Under Siege (Live in Barcelona), y Chaos DVD, respectivamente. La formación del grupo en ese entonces era con Max Cavalera, voz y guitarra rítmica; Andreas Kisser, guitarra líder; Paulo Jr., bajo; e Igor Cavalera, en batería.
Actualmente el grupo esta formado por:

* Andreas Kisser – Guitarra (desde 1987)
* Derrick Green – Voz y guitarra (desde 1998)
* Jean Dolabella – Batería (desde 2006)
